ADWOFF got pretty unbearable when people started posting just to increase their post totals. I'm glad to see that won't happen here.

Besides, I'm thinking that the Merlin in the DF books is not necessarily 100% on the up-and-up, so I'm not sure if I'd want to be the Merlin.

Yeah. I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with not having postcount categories that go up to ridiculous levels, the way OCR does. And, in fact, there are postwhores on OCR, that post random crap just for the postcount increase, which does tend to get annoying. I was just stating my amusement that, pretty soon, everyone who bothers coming here ever will be a wizard.
There's definitely something to be said for forums with no postcounts visible, as much fun as it is to brag about how much you've posted, sometimes.

Well, yeah, If there is a top post thing thats way above everyone else, some noobs will want to go for it. But still, It would be nice to have some sort of distinction.
