Signing: Houston, TX, on April 7th

<< < (6/7) > >>

Mickey Finn:
Did you wave? If so, sorry I missed it. Several people who looked familiar didn't show any signs of recognition at all.

I even thought Shannon was there for a second, until I remembered that couldn't be her.

fairyfreak:
I thought I saw you at one point, Mickey, but I wasn't sure.  Talked to Wolfhowls *waves*, and had a fun time getting books signed and listening to the Q&A stories.  Awesome night!  :)

Wolfhowls:

No I didn't you were talking to Mr. Butcher and I didn't want to bug y'all.

Helen™:
I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post these, but since it happened in Houston, it seemed right to me.

My daughter Hawthorn's 15th birthday was on 4/4/08, three days before the signing.  We live in Miami, but it just so happens that one of the board great's lives in Houston.  Randall (Wolfhowls) (I so love Randall) not only got a book signed for her, but he got JB to sign a birthday card to her as well.  She got them today.  I took some pictures, and here they are:

Looking at the signature:

The birthday card:

The signature in the card:

And the book...he actually wished her a happy birthday and dated it on her birthday.  How cool is that?  I am officially one of his fangirls.  I have thus far avoided being anyone's fangirl, but he went way above what he needed to do to make her happy.  What a great guy.  Priscellie, when you see him this weekend, give him a big kiss and thank you from us, will you?

Stitch:
I was there, right in the front row, and I can tell you that he thought it was way cool that Wolfhowls had him sign the birthday card (and he liked the card too) and it was totally his idea to 'backdate' the book a couple of days. He just adds the year in most signatures.  He's really just the nicest guy you can imagine.
