Damn right. >_> Jerk -sniffle- But knowing me, it'll probably just die like all my other forums and I'll just go back to what I regularly do...
val:
Trouble is, you're trying to meet a need that is already very well and truly met. And if you abandon the site like you did your last one, it isn't fair to the people who do join. From what you are saying, other forums you've had have died as well.
Find a need that is not being met elsewhere if you want your site to work out. And make sure you truly have the time to attend to it. That's a lot of work for one still in school.
Ursiel:
its not a lot of work. its easy compared to other things I do. Childs play really. Forums are easy to maintain. I focus mainly on scripting though. So I dont usually get enough time to do anything with my forum. I'm scripting my friends RO server so we can get it out of the beta stages.
val:
Little John, you have four forums out there that I have found so far, two Dresden based ones, a medieval fantasy one and a sci fi one. All are languishing. You say you don't get enough time to do anything with your forum. Then why keep starting them and trying to lure people there if you aren't going to spend time there or maintain them?
It sounds like you have the most fun setting up forums. Why not focus there and use your interest to help other people set up their sites? While I have no desire to set up a site, I'm sure others would love to have your help. Heck, I didn't even understand your last sentence, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's clueless on setting up these things.
Ursiel:
I enjoy anything that involved HTML or eathena. It gives me something to do. But I rarely get any other chances to do that.
