Kicking Harry Out of the White Council, The Merlin's Plan to Help Harry? Carlos

  We all remember the scene at the end of Battle Ground when Carlos comes to inform Harry that he has been voted off the White Council, listed the charges, most seemed trumped up.  Further says that there is a death warrant out for him, but that had been suspended.. Carlos seemingly was pissed and didn't want anything more to do with Harry.  What if all of that was an act?  A show for the greater viewing crowd of enemies? 

Jump to 12 Months, Carlos is much more moderate about his views as far as Harry goes from the last time we saw them together.  Carlos seems to have a bit more information about Harry as well, like how did he find out that the castle once belonged to Merlin?  How is it that Carlos just happened to be hanging around the castle under veil when it is about to be attacked?  Spying on Harry?  Not wearing his Warden's cloak, but has his magic Warden's Sword, when asked says "he isn't there and he can prove it."  Also says he is being watched, but he will get what White Council intelligence he can.  Eb, also acts like nothing has happened, comments on how guickly Harry has gotten so strong.

What if kicking Harry out of the White Council was all part of the plan for the over all BAT?  As long as Harry was part of the Council he was under a lot of restrictions.  As simply Wizard of Chicago, Winter Knight, and Warden of Demonreach, Harry is free to do or not do Mab's bidding, make further alliances with the White Court, command his Pixie Army.  All of that makes him more effective in the war to come, plus neither he nor the Merlin will have to deal with unneeded distractions.  Carlos is the go between messenger between Harry and the White Council, and actually Harry has been in on the plan from the beginning.  It just looks that way to me at any rate. That there are enemy spies on the White Council and this is the only way for Harry to do what needs to be doing.

This is the only part I don't agree with. The rest of it would make a lot of what looks weird on the page make a lot more sense. I doubt Harry is in on it. Eb said something about him being kicked out and Harry thought Eb was leaving something out. Something more than we know is going on. It's probably Nemesis operating through the Black Council that agitated for Harry's removal, and the Merlin took it as an opportunity to have someone with unquestionable principles on the outside.

The rank and file I get but seriously the older members of the council should know better. Harry is practically attached to the knights of the swords and the swords themselves. He owns a temple dog if nothing else ancient Mai should be on his side.
 Is the SC council blind, dump or do they have something else planned because at this point their level of distrust for harry is
about to reach mission impossible levels of stupid. In the mission impossible movies series every movie the higher ups think Ethan has gone rogue hunt him then oops he was on our side repeat 8 times

Harry has repeatedly proven himself to the Council starting in Storm Front.

I remember an original forum poster; who went by the moniker; The Neurovore, who thought that the Merlin was manipulating Harry from the beginning.  Perhaps doing so as Harry’s secret ally or perhaps just for the good of the White Council, whether or not it helped Harry.

I posted after BG that by kicking Harry out of the Council, the Senior Council made Harry stronger, in the long-run at least.  In short-run Harry did become more vulnerable.  I’m undecided on whether Arthur Langtry manipulated this move as Harry’s secret ally.   

Now, Harry not only has far better home defenses set up that anything he could have managed before, he is enforcing his rules within his territory; and these rules are similar but not identical to those of the White Council.  Harry is also making new allies and might one day be able to become a recognized power in his own right. Harry would only need two signatures from representatives of two supernatural powers.  Lara and Mab would be the two mostly likely members of Mab’s Accords to sign such a petition.

Makes me think of this conversation between the Gatekeeper and Harry:

“And I cannot permit you to openly challenge the White Council to battle.” “No?” I asked, thrusting out my jaw. “Why not?” His deep, resonant voice sounded troubled. “It is not yet your hour.” I felt my eyebrows go up. “Not yet . . . ?”

Harry is also making new allies and might one day be able to become a recognized power in his own right. Harry would only need two signatures from representatives of two supernatural powers.  Lara and Mab would be the two mostly likely members of Mab’s Accords to sign such a petition.

The other signatories might object to Mab and Lara elevating their Knight / political husband to freeholding lord - teaming up to declare someone who's tied to both their nations is also going to be micronation unto himself seems like it might ruffle more feathers than it's worth, even if the others ultimately have to accept it under Accords procedure.

Easy enough to find sponsors from the other powers he's not quite as close to, though.

Harry doesn't even need to be an accorded power to be a recognized power. The Knights of the Cross and the Knights of the Blackened Denarius are examples of powers that aren't accorded.

Are the Fomor members of the Accords? I don't think so, but I'm not sure if it is ever stated clearly one way or the other.

  There is a saying from "Song of the South,"  about being thrown into the brier patch.  Nobody wants to be thrown into a brier patch, right?  Unless it's your home and you are perfectly comfortable there.  That's what the White Council did, they threw Harry into his brier patch, Chicago.

Something Harry coulld do as a member of the Council, but not easily, but as Wizard of Chicago?  From one of strength.
