"Restoration of Faith" (but especially: Faith)

I presume everyone recalls little Faith Astor.
WoJ is that we'll see her again.

Last we knew she was going back to her unloving parents (she had described them as caring more about appearances & their image, than about her), with a bit of magic from Harry to keep her encouraged.

Herewith, I engage in time-honored WAG'ery, based upon some DF stuff on a Discord recently...

We don't know Charity's maiden name; what it it's Astor?  What if Faith is Charity's baby sister?

Charity described her parents to Harry as kind of "normal über alles" appearances-first parents, so there's a reasonably-close match to our understanding of Faith's parents, with any difference being easily put down to the different POV's and perspectives of the different-aged girls.

We don't know where Charity got her talent... but presumably it was from her own mother!  This, then, might imply Charity's mother could also have passed it on to her daughter Faith (n.b. names "Faith" and "Charity" being quite thematic).

So Faith Astor, when we see her again, may arrive as a full-blown Molly-caliber talent!

Now for the big leap:  what if Faith is Kumori?  People have pointed to some oddities in Kumori's attitudes/actions towards Harry, suggesting that if she were secretly Molly it'd explain a lot; but Faith is also likely to have (more than a little) hero-worship aimed Harry's way.

Liking this theory.

Do we have confirmation that Kumori was killed in DB? That's the only hitch I can see so far.

... Do we have confirmation that Kumori was killed in DB? ...

AFAIK, we have zero followup-info about Kumori.

I tend (strongly) to believe that she isn't dead.  The Wardens would absolutely have fine-tooth-combed the site of that throwdown battle.  The corpse of a powerful practitioner like Kumori would have been found (ID'ed by magical items, casting paraphernalia, rune-scribed items, etc etc etc -- even if the aborted Darkhallow somehow "wiped" the magic clean, the physical items, carving/etc symbology, and so on... all would persist (albeit mundanely) & be recognized as-such by investigating Wardens.

Woah. I like this theory a lot. Faith and Charity as names do fit thematically together and match what image conscious parents might chose to make the "perfect family." I do not know if I buy Faith as the younger sister however. It would make sense because Faith never mentioned a baby sister when talking to Harry, but I could see the arrival of a new sibling being a reason to run away. We know that magical talent tends to be harder to pass down when the parent has not been practicing. Since Charity fell in with bad company I tend to believe that her mother either had weak talent or was not practicing thus not training Charity making it easy for her to fall in with the wrong crowd. If that supposition is true then there may have not been enough magic to pass along to a sibling younger than Charity. In order to believe that Faith is Kumori (who was listed as being strong enough to be in the White Council) I would say that Faith should be the older child and Charity got a diluted weaker magic passed along as the younger sibling.
