   Or Jim has killed off Murphy, Susan, Morgan, Shiro, and others for one reason or another, the reality is that cats for all their nine lives live to around twenty years max if all goes well.. In the last few books now when Mister is mentioned, usually with in the same sentence or paragraph, his age is mentioned.  I believe we are being prepared for the next bit of sad news as nature takes it's course..  :(
