Was just re-reading the books and ran across a comment that Mother Summer made th Harry while taking him to the Outer Gates….  Mother Winter doesn’t go out much because it’s difficult for her to walk since she lost her walking stick.   Is the black staff her walking stick?

Also read that while Eb was using the black staff that the shadow surrounding him resembled an old crone,  remnants of mother winter within the staff??
