Hello there!

Regen, conversely, our days are becoming warmer. But we are expecting some rain today and then perhaps we will have a few cold days. Also, September is normally a rainy month, so we are preparing.

I also thought JB would be writing CS next. I agree, if he is writing MM, that is better. I really love CS but DF is still my favourite.

I am so glad you are excited about learning something new for your work, Regen. I hope it is not too difficult to master.

I have a very rusty French now. I could read it very well but now I can't. I've forgotten too much.

Oh, I've watched a Star Trek" Strange New Worlds episode and it has an Easter Egg! You can see the TARDIS. So fun  :)

Missing you, Md

Cool! For me, it is behind a pay wall. I think I saw it on prime video, but they have so many new and old titles you either have to pay now or are only available if you also subscribe for x and y, like Paramount or all the others. I won't do that, even if I do want to see it. I already have a subscription for Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime and additional subscriptions from Amazon: like amazon kids, kindle unlimited, audible and I am feeling scammed because I already pay for them and they still want more money for some movies and series.

I have all of those too. Not the Amazon services but all the streaming you mentioned + Paramount (where I have Strange New Worlds) and HBOmax (which is part of my cable service package). I also pay a plus for having the right to watch some football (soccer) matches. So yes, it is a lot. But it is one of the things that make me happy, to have options to watch things I like.
Speaking of shows/movies, I went to the cinema! Which is a very strange event for me nowadays. But I have several free hours between medical appointments, so I went to watch Freakier Friday. I am not delighted with the acting, but it was a fun light comedy and I had a good time  :)

*Notices the lights have been left on in the SHOV and shakes his head*

Electric bills are not going down, and are we still using halogen bulbs?

*Realizes that she forgot Don's birthday*
*sighs*
Hi Don! When I posted the belated birthday thread for MSD and others I was ready for making your thread in a couple of days. And then, time decided to just run. I forgot many birthdays in the meantime. I am sorry.
I will make those thread later, because right now I have to run myself.

Hi Dina!

I'm still alive and moving around.  No worries about forgetting a birthday post.  It is kind of you to remember.

How are you?

I realise in horror that it has been more than a month that I posted here. I meant to write several times but then there was always something that came up. There is no excuse.

There are so many news, I am sure, I am forgetting a lot: my youngest cousin is pregnant, my other cousin will be marrying again. Her partner proposed to her on the beach in Denmark at sundown, the romantic.

Mini was sailing in the Netherlands with her class. It's her last year of school. Now she could either do an apprenticeship and start working or (which is what she decided) go to a following school which would qualify her for university. Of course it will be art related. And after finishing the school she can only study subjects related to that. For example graphic design or something with commercials and many more. It will involve some internships. I will contact someone I know who worked at a museum restaurating art. Maybe she has some advice.

Only 3 months now and then we will have the new book! I am so excited!

Regen, you are alive!
Congratulations about the family news, especially mini's internship. I am sure you will miss having her around all the time, but at least Denmark is not too far away from you.
Hello Don! I am so pleased you came back. I am doing well except for some health issues that are not terrible but not ideal. For example, I had a very high blood pressure, so we are trying a new drug and last Wednesday I did the horrible 24 hours pressure measuring thing. I hope it worked (I mean, it had correctly readings. I had some bad experiences about that). It was not so bad. Also, hubby and I are recovering from some cold and both of us still have an annoying random coughing.
I've been dictating some classes I don't usually do, so it iwas fun. And this week I have to evaluate some doctorate students (they have a plan, and they around half of it, so we have to evaluate if they are doing well, if we think they are going to finish in time or perhaps they should change some things, we do some suggestions, things like that.

TV and movies: I watched Wednesday, i liked it. This season more than the first one, I believe. I also watched Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which was a hit of miss with some good episodes and some terrible ones. I also watched two super heroes movies to comment here. Thunderbolts (Marvel) and Superman (DC). Thunderbolts was ok. No pretensions, not big deal. Superman was...pleasant to watch but too many things had no sense, and I was not delighted with some casting (but I am ok with Superman and Lois). Also, there is Krypto!
Last, I watched two more serious/darker shows. The girlfriend, which was very disturbing but interesting and well done and We were liars, which was mesmerizing. I liked it.

And yay!  the book is coming! I heard JB was in a conventions these last days.
