Lawyers and dating Lara Raith

KurtinStGeorge:
This is just for fun.

When it was revealed in "The Law" that the terms of Harry's dates with Lara had to be legally negotiated in advance, I didn't immediately think that Talvi Inverno would appear in the next novel.  Though in retrospect, I won't be surprised if we see Mr. Winter Winter acting as Winter's lawyer in this matter in Twelve Months.

No, my first thought went back to a cheesy 1980's scifi movie called "Cherry 2000."  Yea, I know that sounds more like the title of a porn movie from that era, but it was a real movie with real actors.  It starred Melanie Griffith and Tim Thomerson.  There was a scene in the movie that predicted that dates in the future would be negotiated with an attorney and be settled with a signed contract.  Here's a link to a scene that takes place in a hookup bar with Laurence Fishburne; about twelve years before he was in The Matrix, acting as the club attorney helping to arrange a one date contract. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urS8GmwmeWQ&ab_channel=JorethInnKeeper

If anyone wants to take this topic seriously, what kind of terms do you think Lara and Mab would want in the contracts and what terms will annoy Harry the most?  I'm guessing Harry will only have about the same amount of power to influence the terms of the dates as he did when Mab loaned him out to Nicodemus to pay off her debt to Anduriel.

I have some very active opinions about why Butcher may be chosen this particular plot device.  Nuff said about that.

I'm looking for the Maximillian Valerious to be Harry's personal representative. Mab for Mab(WOJ is that Mab Is licensed to practice law), and some nameless, as yet, mouthpiece for Lara.

Even money on Harry getting a dowry.  The 18 months was a convenient statement about when the money would run out. Maybe more later.

I would love for there to be a time frame for their dates and/or actions. For example, at least 5 minutes of hand-holding or kisses may last no longer than 30 seconds but no less than 5 and Harry is counting the seconds in his head.

...in case there was any doubt about her being Evil.....

Now, can they even touch? Does Harry's Love Aura protect him with Murphy and Susan dead?  Does Lara want to run, lest Harry complete his Ben Cartwright Hat Trick?

Might be opera going, where they could both plausibly wear gloves? Or skiing. If they are publically to be a couple, they will have to touch now and then.  Hmmmm... could Lara use Harry as bait - some ambitious schemer tries to take Lara's man.. not noting she never touches bare skin.. and touching Harry brands them?

Yes, I assume that Harry will get a few millions as a Dowry -- it's a convenient plot device to give Harry yet another reason to agree to marry Lara.  He sees all the good stuff his Castle Refugee Center and Daycare is doing and won't want to give it up.  Of course, why it is that the Winter Knight doesn't have accounts just like Mab and Molly and I'm sure lots of of Winter and Summer Royalty do won't be mentioned.  Given compound interest and average stock growth over a few centuries, they all ought to be Billionaires.
