First things first. Oh. My. God.

Secondly, what was your favorite part? What did you like and dislike?

I really enjoyed some call backs to Harry's former cases. Things like old potions being used again was lovely. Also lots of great one liners.

Some truly incredible reveals as well.
(click to show/hide)1. Outsiders. We now know why they might work together. Because many of them are not actually separate wills but the same being/will in multiple constructs. This was a theory I had way back, as I am sure others might have. But it's nice to have confirmed. This links to another major theory for another post.
2. We also now know why magic has such a hard time against Outsiders, which links to...
3. We now know part of what a Starborn is. We conveniently don't know what a Destroyer is or if it is related. We know what power Harry has against Outsiders...although it isn't clear that he knows how to use it.
4. The Cycle. 666. If the massive clue bat with the Knights of the Cross showing up didn't give it away - there is a Hell-related link.
5. We also now "know" part of what makes the Nails of the Cross so powerful in part (there is an Angel inside).
6. We are closer than ever to knowing who Mab is. We know she is rode with William the Conqueror when she was a teenager/young adult. We know she was a personal friend (possibly lover) of the original Merlin. My guess is that she is Morganna le Fey.
7. Mab got her ass handed to her. She was so hopelessly outclassed we now know that we haven't really seen the big players (except in small doses and hints).
8. Ferrovax and Vadderung didn't exactly seem to be allies, but not totally enemies either. Both of them were highly concerned by Ethniu.
9. Somehow Ethniu has kept most of her strength, and inherited her father's eye. How is this possible?
10. Why is she "The Last Titan" are all the protogods actually gone? If so, what happened?
11. Is she Nemesis-infected? Probably
12. Spear of Longinus called an Athame. Interesting foreshadowing. What is the long-term dilemma Harry mentions?
13. Harry also wanted the plaque. Apart from a battery, what other use has it?
14. King Corb seemed very similar to the Red King in his slightly mad temperament. Similar power level too I suspect.
15. We still haven't seen the sucker punch Eb mentioned.
16. Cristos seems more like a puppet and less like straight up bad guy. It could be an act...but still.
17. Ebenezer is a loose cannon. Makes Harry look positively restrained.
18. Lea is probably Birog. Based on the arrival of Ethniu. Was also commanding the defences of the Outer Gates. Intense assault - perhaps the Gatekeeper also wasn't there. He would have been in Edinburgh for the vote.
19. Curiously Vadderung and Ferrovax don't want a head on fight with Ethniu. Perhaps they could fight her...but Ferro seemed worried about collateral damage. Made me think his powers are just as destructive as helpful. Interestingly, Harry seems to imply that regular old Angels would be a match for Ethniu as he isn't worried about her storming the Carpenters.
20. In a previous book Ebeneezer claimed responsibility for the Tunguska event (as Blackstaff). In this book Harry forgets Eb told him that and says it was the last time a Dragon was killed (which we all thought was when Michael killed Siriothrax).

Anyway, thoughts? Feelings? Emotions?

Remember we are only half way through this story so there is a lot to go through, more twists and turns.

1. One of the scenes in the Peace Talks Trailer appears to be from Battlefield, Marcone and Harry getting dressed;
2. Harrys’s lab survived and Harry knows about it surviving, presumably Little Chicago also survived and is being stored somewhere by Marcone, so Harry can use it in the Battle it was really mean’t for;
3. Eb is not just a loose cannon, his barrel has a flaw in it which can blow at any time. And Harry knows rhis and used it to bear him;
4. We know Titania hasn’t spoken to Mab since the Battle of Hastings, we know now that it was about a boy;
5. Someone pressurised Thomas into trying to assassinate Etri, but this is a distraction as regards the Outsiders/Black Council they don’t need it to achieve their ends, so there is a second plot afoot (they don’t like flying) someone who knew how they would treat Thomas in circumstances where Mab would disavow Harry as her Knight, just at the time the Merlin is trying to oust him from the White Council;
6. My theory about a blood summoning appears to be borne out as regards the Titan, using the Athame to draw blood and use that as a summoning to take her below;
Only three weapons looks likely to injure the Titan the Athame and the Swords, so of course Sasha is in Town;
7. Butters Andi and Marci, Butters was complaining only a few books ago of a lack of a sex life, obviously Butters isn’t a once a Knight guy;
8. We still I do not think have the full identity of Ethnui, most of the old supernaturals have more than one name;
9. Mab is also Nimue, The Lady of the Lake which makes total sense;
10. Vadderung and Ferrovax could Ferrovax be the Midgard Serpent, stabilising the geology would suggest yes, making him Vadderung’s Grandson by that rascal Loki

I have to say i enjoyed it a lot. That being said if there wasn't an other one coming out in 2 months i would be annoyed that this was a set up book.

1. I wonder if following this Harry gains ownership of the damaged BFS building for the wardens? It’s as heavily protected as Edinburgh
2. Demonreach is capable of withholding things from the Warden, that’s a worry;
3.Harry needs to get Carlos laid at the end of Battlefield, seriously, perhaps, he can throw him at a frisky red headed Valkyrie;
4. Harry has an indestructible suit, but is wearing his Duster on the cover of Battlefield, obviously it doesn’t go with the hat as it creates a JR Ewing vide;
5. The Genowskwa survived and escaped Hades realm, regret on the part of Jim on killing him? Perhaps we are going to see a Legion of Doom against Harry Nick, Gen, the Skin-walker, Mavra, Evil Harry etc.did Gen take the coin with him?
6. Harry’s dad did exactly the same with a stray kitten as Harry did with Mister, one of his beloved memories of his father. If I was going to plant a spy in Harry’s household, this is how I would do it if I were Mab or Lea. Mister may indeed be a Malk changeling;
7. why the placard? In the Crucifixtion it was in scribed with INRI Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews, and the swords can only be wielded by the descendants of kings, perhaps it establishes authority or allows for announcement to the world? The latter important in the aftermath of the Battle, perhaps Harry uses it to avoid mortal v supernatural conflict.
