 What do you mean by "normal"?   Actually Murphy's place is no safer.  Most likely Eb lives on an isolated farm because he likes living on one, his whole persona says that he does.

Maybe Thomas's possible sex as payment idea could be that he's trying to get some type of protection for Justine and their child. That way the White Court can't hurt them. That's the only thing I can think of.
If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if non svartalves lived there too. Maybe Harry could get a place there too?
