I wonder if Peace Talks/Battle Grounds will shed some light. Also, as bad as Cornerhounds are...there seem to be many of them. Jim mentions that Harry gets attacked by a pack (and in the initial draft, they ruin your short term memory). But he couldn't make that chapter work, so I suspect they will have a slightly different effect.
