Coincidence or the origin of Kumori's name?

(1/1)

Curly:
I was rereading The Garden of Rama and came across this description of a fictional device:

--- Quote ---The Komori stimulator is an electrochemical device that attaches to the heart, forcing it to beat and continue to pump blood. If the pathology is temporary, like a blood clot or a spastic valve, then sometimes the problem can be fixed and the patient's heart will start functioning again.
--- End quote ---

On the basis that Butcher is a fan of Arthur C. Clarke and that this device does a sci-fi equivalent of what Kumori did when stablising that by-stander, I wonder if this mightn't be the origin of her name?

Regenbogen:
Don't know. Komori-> Kumori?
Kumori japanese means cloudy? Her identity is hidden behind clouds?

Bad Alias:
It could be from both.
