What and who has Harry looked at with his Wizard's Sight?

The first Wizard Sight he saw was a Gnome when he was 14 with DuMorne.

How do you figure it was a Gnome? I don't think I've ever heard of gnomes even mentioned in the DF.

No idea in which book to look for it. But I dimly remember something about a small harmless creature, a little pixie or something.

Bad Alias:
I remember the description being that it was "squirrel like." I don't remember anything about gnomes anywhere, but I feel like gnomes have to have been mentioned somewhere, and I'm just forgetting where.
