Colin Murphy was a Black Cat Investigator. Does anyone think the name has a specific meaning, or is it just a play on words (Black cat, bad luck kinda thing)?

I imagine they just called it that because of the broader magical imagery of a black cat.
Mr. Death:
I tried searching for the term in general, but the only thing coming up is a Chinese cartoon about a literal black cat who is a detective, private investigation firms or the Dresden Files' wiki entry about the CPD.
