What currency did they use or even mention in the book?

Quantus:
It's mentioned, as it is a point of conversation that they over-paid for their rooms, but I dont think it is ever actually named or quantified, just mentioned as coins changing hands, and general relative value statements (an extra Months pay, etc).  They do have a concept of ownership and value and an active capitalist economy and all that, though
