Then, I noticed the homepage for the main site. *blushes with chagrin*

...
I've only read Torch Light 1for now, but it looks like I'm going to read the next one as well :)

Out of curiosity, please let me know if it gets more or less "fairly readable" beyond Torch Light. :D

I'd say the Dalca series is dark, and the Mirrorverse isn't very light. But is the Hayes series "dark"? I didn't think it was, at least any more so than Dresden.
As for Amy...
(click to show/hide)While she came late to the game, she was one of my favorites while writing, and has great potential for further development if I ever have time to get back to the series. I've got plans to bring her and some of the other Hell Bent wizards back in the 8th story if I get to it. (And a couple others in 10)
I've also toyed with the idea of an Anya spinoff if she doesn't stay in Chicago, and Amy might play into that.

No the Hayes aren't that dark. The Dalca ones though are, and since they seem interconnected...

Cool. I do hope you get the time to do more writing. ;)
Well, we finished the campaign she came from. The GM had his fun throughout the campaign to torture her with various visions. My chronicle from it ended up being 100 pages long. And now we are playing a campaign in Mage: the Acension set in the same city as our Dresden campaign (Boston), and the gm there is pulling things from the Dresden-campign and making them much darker. Will be interesting to see what he puts her through. And I put a version of her in my superhero-campaign. There she is a nice person who might end up helping one of the villains.
