Until you've contained a person's madness into a dead mouse, ground it, boiled it, distilled it into an elixir of insanity, and have taken enough of it to see the pineapples and the candles within a man's head, all in order to speak to the invisible Faerie who has stolen away your wife, then I have to say you do not yet know what leads down that path.

In any case, I'm looking forward to reading Brief Cases; most stories I've already heard, though I'm looking forward to reading Day One for the first time.

I believe you forgot the distillation of the caffine as well.

--- Quote from: Serack on August 21, 2017, 05:08:15 PM ---So I looked at my Alex Verus books and confirmed that Ace is a Penguin Random House entity, but why doesn't this one have the ROC label like all the other Dresden Files books I briefly checked before posting this question?

I'm asking from a relative position of ignorance, not knowing the relationship between Ace and ROC other than that they are both Penguin Random House entities.

I can probably shed some light on this, Ace and Roc are what is known in the book trade as "imprints", smaller divisions of the larger entity that is Penguin Random House. The logo on the book will display which imprint the book was published by, so Roc with the previous ones and Brief Cases should have the Ace logo on it.

Well, that's just ... just ...

That just crazy talk.  CRAZY!!

Lokey:
Personally, I'm still waiting to read the story about Murph's broken arm.   (I've been out of the loop a while, so it may already be out).
