Release Date?

EyeballKid:
I just returned from the signing in Scottsdale, where Jim said that he has yet to finish the first book due to exploding teeth problems.

Also, not sure if this has been reported before, but Jim said he has a deal for 3 books, which could become 6, but he would love it to go to 9 books or so - because he's having so much fun writing it and the Beta readers are loving it.

Nah, it was a different one.  I'll see if I can find it later.  It's been a few weeks, and I've watched a bunch of con videos in the meantime.  But there may be something about it in that one.  I don't know that I've watched it.  I think I've seen bits of other videos from that same Q&A.

OZ:
Jim said the same thing at Phoenix Comicon. The book would have already been completed except for the exploding tooth. It was very close. He said something about "next year" when asked when it would come out. I hope that was off the cuff and not accurate. I was hoping for a Fall release date so we could have alternating Spring and Fall releases of TDF and CS.

KurtinStGeorge:
I watched one of Jim appearances where he told the audience how his dental problems caused a delay to his finishing the first book.  He said his new deadline to finish is July 1st.  If you look at the calender you'll see that he's not making any more personal appearances until San Diego Comicon in late July.  With his schedule clear I assume Jim will finish around July 1st, so in theory we could see a Christmas release date, but I won't be surprised if we have to wait until next spring, say sometime in March.
