Signing in Chicago, IL (Skokie) 11/30/12

MathGeek:
Yay!  I guess Chicago can get some extra love because it IS the setting for the Dresden Files.  The whole family will be in costume there with our 2.5 month old dressed as Toot Toot.

(this puts us in the running for either best or worst parents.  I will let you decide)

I vote best.  When I eventually have kids, they will be costumed in geek splendor at the slightest excuse.

MathGeek:
I have a quick question on asking Jim spoiler laden questions.  At signings if it safe to assume everyone has read the previous book?  For instance I want to ask
(click to show/hide)Jim has said he had it planned that Harry would be investigating his own murder in a book from the beginning.  I was wondering when Jim decided that 1) Kincaid was the trigger man and 2) Harry hired someone to kill himself.
Would that be something acceptable to ask in the Q-A or should I wait until getting the book signed to ask in semi-private?

Priscellie:
Might be best for semi-private.  Or before you publicly ask your question, ask if there's anyone who hasn't read Ghost Story, to ensure you don't catch anyone off-guard.

Better yet, phrase it without specifics.  Ask Jim when he decided the identity of the killer and the circumstances.

Shecky:
I'd even go so far as to say "sniper".
