Just wrote a 600 word flash-fiction ghost story for a contest. Thing is I included a dedication to my late fiance, only after I hit send did I notice that I used the wrong to/too right smack dab at the beginning. Ouch.

Another evening bashing my head off rewrite, another thoroughly despairy night. I will get through this patch, but not soon, as my next two weekends are busy socialising, and neither work nor some social stuff is helping right now.

2600 words tonight, chugging along nicely now that I figured out what I needed to to to carry the story from Point C to Point D in a fashion that had my protagonist taking an active role again. Of course, as she puts it "The awfulest, dumbest ideas I've ever had were ones that 'most always came along right when I thought I was being the single cleverest person that ever existed."
