Another thousand words last night. Not a huge amount, but they where words happening between the scenes that really interest me, and those are always the sections that are Work rather than Play. Hard to get started on, hard to not find an excuse to indulge in some distraction (I need to know more about VEI 8 eruptions, the Siberian Traps, or cometary impacts! I'm going to watch a documentary! But it's research!)
When I'm on a scene that I'm excited about, I'll hammer through two or three thousand at a sitting while giggling and rolling my eyes like a mad prophet.

I'm reaching the end of my tale, but I fear it will turn into a novella rather than a full length novel. I know how the story ends and I don't see it going far past 40k. Sadly though now that I'm finally almost finished the world seems to be against me. I've only gotten maybe 2k words this week.
