No idea. Unless someone was within 10' of him it would have been almost impossible (and it was almost impossible to see him from where I was so perhaps the store has something?).
I didn't see any obvious recording-other than the occasional smartphone pics.
If it helps, there were only one or two questions that hadn't been asked before- at least as far as already published Q&A.

Conversation of B&N workers overheard by me at the DC signing as they were setting up in between two aisles of books: "how many chairs do you think we need to set up? 50? Do think there will be more than 50 people here?"
This being said as 100 people are standing outside in a torrential hailing downpour because security wouldn't let the line wrap around inside...
