Do you recommend that alternate route?

It all depends on traffic. To get around I-664 you have to go over the High Rise bridge. It just depends on which as the worse back up. The High Rise or the HRBT.

It may be snowy/icy. Would a "High Rise Bridge" be safe?

*giggles* You're cute Prisc.
If we get snow, then no I wouldn't recommended it but it's really freakish for us to get that much snow/ice.
And unless traffic is stopped on the HRBT (which happens about once every two weeks) it's the shorter route.
