Sanctaphrax:
I've rewritten the Telekinesis Power since the last list update. You may want to use the new version.
Obviously it doesn't matter if you use the latest version of a homebrew Power, but I think this version of Telekinesis is better-written than the old one.
(click to show/hide)TELEKINESIS [-2]
Description: You can exert physical force with the power of your mind alone.
Skills Affected: Conviction, Discipline
Effects:
Mind Over Matter. Whenever you would use your Might skill, you may use your Conviction skill instead. If you have a Strength Power you may apply its lifting, breaking, and grappling bonuses to your Conviction skill.
Telekinetic Reach. If an action would normally require you to touch something, you can do it from a zone away. If you use this effect to do something which requires good fine motor control, your Discipline restricts whatever skill you use.
Telekinetic Attacks. You may use your Discipline skill to hit people either unarmed or with objects. Attacks made with this effect include stress bonuses from Strength Powers and are treated as ranged attacks for the purpose of selecting defence skills.
Enhanced Telekinesis [-1]. Your Telekinetic Reach extends to everything within your line of sight. In addition, unarmed attacks that you make with this Power are now weapon 2 and may be enhanced with any Natural Weaponry upgrade except for Summoned, Explosive, and Ranged.
Defensive Telekinesis [-1]. You are protected by a shell of telekinetic power. You may use your Discipline skill to defend against physical attacks or to create physical barriers.
Self-Propelling Telekinesis [-1]. (Requires Defensive Telekinesis) Your telekinesis is strong enough to let you carry yourself. This allows you to fly as though you had the Wings power, using Discipline instead of Athletics to move around in the air.

Schlock's Catch is anything that can scatter his body or affect each part of it equally. Lethal ambient temperatures, fire hoses, plasma grenades, that sort of thing. Its value is the same for The Catch and Limitation, since in a world with either Evocation or plasma weaponry it's pretty easy to satisfy.
The plasma cannon is modelled as an assault rifle/grenade launcher that inflicts +2 stress and has a rocket mode that lets Schlock fly. It wouldn't be an IoP in the source material, but in DFRPG...
Schlock's supernatural senses let him taste everything that he touches, identify chemicals by smell/taste, and move his eyes around.

Well, I sent it to the author and it turns out he actually likes DFRPG. Which is, in my opinion, kind of neat.
polkaneverdies:
That is awesome Sancta. A Tip of the Hat from the author has to put a smile on your face. :)
LMage:
So, I'm a first time player, and I've been bouncing around a lot of different character ideas. I've settled the one I'm actually using (and have poured the time into, a Champion Of God that serves Hecate) but I figured I'd post a more underdeveloped idea or two that I still liked here and get some feed back.

History-
(click to show/hide)Marcus never knew his Parents- born the child of a teenage single mother who gave him up for adoption, he bounced from foster home to foster home never quite finding a place to settle. Eventually, at the age of fifteen tired of the serial abuse and loneliness he dropped out of school and ran away from home, he spent a few months as a drifter. During this time, while coming to grips with his sexuality, he was roofied at a sleazy gay bar, but while being dragged out to his would-be rapist's car, was rescued by a Drag Queen named Joanna Jems, who promptly beat the snot out of the Assaulter. Upon hearing of his plight (s)he readily took him under her/his wing, letting Marcus stay at her/his home until he could get on his feet. (The Foster System Sucks But The Streets Suck More). Marcus's new found jubilation-a stable job as a barista, a fair sized apartment, a growing circle of friends- was short lived. Marcus's long dormant Hunger began to stir around his sixteenth birthday. No knowledge of the Supernatural world, combined with his already present insecurities about his own sexuality lead him to fight strongly against his Hunger's wishes in a unconscious effort to keep it asleep and suppressed. Even show his carefully crafted world starts to fracture as he turns to the only options left, and begins to learn about the supernatural world bit by bit, in a desperate attempt to find answers that never come. (Ignorance Is Bliss) Still not understand his own sleeping Demon, Marcus starts growing closer and closer to his friend, Anders, eventually becoming romantically involved. Thinking that Marcus's problems are with sex are just normal hang ups they take it slow at first but eventually Marcus starts to feel guilty about holding out despite Ander's endless patience and guilts himself into seducing Anders. Realizing why he's doing it Anders tries to stop Marcus, but his Hunger stirs and Anders soon can no longer protest. Almost taken over by his awakening Demon Marcus takes to much to quickly from Anders, at the last moment the blessing of True Love kicking and Marcus is able to realize that something is wrong he is able to pull back moments before it's to late, running away and leaving Anders to slip into a near-dead coma. The catatonic man found in his apartment makes headlines quickly, the system identifying the now nineteen Marcus as the same runaway from years before, trying to take him into custody. Terrified and scared of himself, ridden with guilt over Anders's state, and faced with threats on every side, Marcus dose the only thing he can think of- he runs. (You Can Never Go Home Again)
--- End quote ---
If this character seems under-powered it's because he's supposed to be. He's more of "The Chick" or "The Heart" in terms of group dynamic, then an actual fighter.
Sanctaphrax:
I think you still have 6 skill points to spend.
And IIRC the standard skill for seduction is Rapport.
