Er, I should say no: We are a reputation of being kind of show-off and to speak in loud voice. For example, my boss and two people from my lab were in France and people there asked her if the other two were arguing a lot (as they didn't understand the words they though that the two Argentinians were angry because of the high volume of the conversation). But people from some of our provinces (that are like your states) are quieter. Do you know if your coworkers are from Buenos Aires or where?

Nope! Eduardo sounds not unlike The Most Interesting Man in The World, although less fluid...he thinks his english is terrible and speaks very slowly (it's VERY good, actually). Jorge just grunts alot. ;)
Meanwhile, my Brasilian "partner" in Belgium is exceedingly flamboyant...it's hard to get a word in when she's speaking ;)

Well, I don't know who TMIMiTW is, but perhaps they are only shy. Anyway, that it is not usual for Argentinian people, we have quite the opposite reputation.
