Can't catch one bit... did where did he say the Gatekeeper's domain is?  I heard the part about the Moon and Nevernever, but not where his actual citadel is on terra firma.

You get to the Gatekeeper's domain by walking across the surface of the moon.

Got that straight from Jim. :)

So Rashid can do a shield that keeps air in, and vacuum out.  At least for as long as it takes him to get from point A to point B.

Soooooo.... magic isn't limited to just terra firma if that was true. All pretty cool stuff anyways!

Who says it has to be on terra firma? I'd actually be surprised if the Gatekeeper's domain isn't in the Nevernever, or perhaps someplace even stranger...

Hi Fred,

Would it also be possible to include a sort of elaboration on some of the content from the Main book? For example, there are a few questions that run around these boards and others concerning Stress and Consequences, Evocation and Thaumaturgy how-tos (i.e Biomancy), etc ... So perhaps a few pages of the most frequent questions?

Possible, so long as we don't bloat the thing, and so long as the most frequent questions are summed up and succinctly presented. You know where to reach us. :)

Very cool to hear about another book, even more so on its rather different flavor behind it...

And hearing about potentially clearing some things up makes me want to ask a bunch of questions >.<  I just don't wanna hijack the thread nor bug you about them...  :P
my 2 cents

Yes, don't. Like I said, compile a list -- elsewhere -- make it succinct, to the point, then communicate it. The Dresden Files RPG website has this convenient contact us form...

I should make a point about this, actually: if you have stuff you feel needs to be clarified in the book, you have maybe a couple weeks to get your list put together and communicated, as the chapter where this stuff would go is in the middle of active development right now. If it could be, say, clarified in a blog post on the website instead, well, we can be much more relaxed about that. :)

So Rashid can do a shield that keeps air in, and vacuum out.  At least for as long as it takes him to get from point A to point B.

It seems like the same principles used for a shield against kinetic energy would work -- you're basically blocking particles in motion either way.

(When Harry's blind-jumping into the Nevernever (in Changes?), he puts up a shield and mentions that it would protect him from vacuum -- at least for a few seconds. Presumably Rashid knows how to do it well.)

Harry is probably ready to Convert that Shield Spell to a Maneuver on himself "Protected from Vacuum," which would take an Exchange, whereas Rashid, knowing there is vacuum to be endured, is simply casting the Evocation Maneuver to place "Protected from Vacuum" upon himself and walking in.
