Enjorous:
Yeah, not that I hate research but I find when I research and look for an appropriate image to frame a scene I waste too much time doing that, that could have been spent actually writing or framing my own scene.

Starbeam:
Yup.  There's one place where I have a couple scenes set, and every so often I go and google for new pictures, and when I finally found one that had a good view, I copied and pasted into a research thingie, and now it's simple--just have to refer back to that card.

Enjorous:
The only real complaint I have at this point (and it may be a beta issue) is that the actual word processor seems to lag a lot. Normally three to four keystrokes.

Starbeam:
Yeah, I'm going to guess that's likely a beta issue.  You can always go look through the Windows beta section of the forums; see if anyone else has the issue or if it's been bugged or not.  I know that's not any sorta issue with the Mac version, though I can't honestly say for 2.0 cause I haven't done much actual typing since I got it.  I should probably get the Windows beta for my desktop, too.

meg_evonne:
i received a beta copy. I wasn't able to drop in my images or my word docs for some reason. Still waiting for a response. I tried converting to .pdf and dragging it in, but that didn't work either.

I'm starting a new shorter project from scratch and I'm using it for that.  So far I love it.  Love the cork-board, love the note card on the side, the room for writing while also having a central location for research and for images.

My new Toshiba, yet the old one was sounding like a fire engine siren, much to the dismay of fellow writer retreat buddies, has a bulletin board with some of the features, but scrivener is working great.
