That's a weird idea. Kincaid and diaper-changing don't compute. But, then again, Cable (X-men) must have done it for Hope.

Wasn't he working for her mother when she was born?

Kincaid had worked for the grandmother and knew the mother.  When grandmother was killed
I suspect he must have then been working for the mother when Ivy was born and mom killed herself.

Changes SPOILER (click to show/hide)Why did you kill off Harry's one love, the only one who made him happy, I mean come on!! Susan??  I just started reading the books and found this out and now I just want to give them up, I wish he could get her back and hoped and prayed he'd have brought her back in Ghost Story, but after finding out what's happening in there, I am so frustrated, so my question is...why couldn't he just be happy with Susan and his little girl and be married to her (Susan), and still have the "adventures of a wizard" (yeah there still could be all that "fun stuff" and even more with the dangers of having the family life. *Lol*

Welcome to the club Alilisa :).  I think you'd need to read the rest of the series to understand where this fits in.  For Harry, I don't think he had any other option to (click to show/hide)protect his daughter from the monsters.  Thing is, when the monsters found this nugget out, they would have simply come back again and again.  When Susan died(warning: bigger spoiler ahead), she essentially (click to show/hide)turned the energy loose on the beings who knew about the connection.  Without Susan's sacrifice, this would have been impossible to do, and Harry would forever be looking over his shoulder.  Moreover, he can't settle down to a simple family - there is simply too much work to do, and whats more Harry makes a commitment as part of saving his daughter that means he will not be able to enjoy a "family" life - at the very least for a while to come.

By the time Susan dies, there is nothing left of her to save - she is no longer human in any way/shape/form.
Sorry if some of that is a bit cryptic.. I really hope you give the series a chance, and I didn't want to spoil too much for you.
