How is Bob writing

In Storm Front we saw he could fling a potion toward Harry, so he can affect the physical world; the spirits Mortimer Lindquist summoned in a later book were able to cause droplets of ink to fall on a map in a determined pattern.

So we figured, he's animating some bits of ink and playing magical ink-jet.

Landing:
The same way he drew maps in BR apparently with da Vinci like skills.  ;D
