This is the very reason for the existance of vacation time. If not that, at least get too ill to work but mysteriously healthy enough to attend the signing. ;) :P

Or become indispensable at your workplace and then tell your bosses they WILL allow this this one day off. >:D

I do that every year for my summer camp I work at. Don't think I can get away with it for everything though. ;D
