The only thing I've had to stop her from reading so far is Laurel K. Hamilton (I think I got the name right) and that's for obvious reasons if you've read her work. She's still a bit too young to go that far past rated "R" writing. LOL

The 1st couple books might not be to bad (I read the entire series (currently written) in January, so everything's a bit of a blur), but most of that series is definitely in the NC-17 category.

yeah I'm 35 and there are times I go "Wow! I need a cigarette!" after reading some of her stuff. Papaw let her get one from the library and I had to snag it the second I saw it so she wouldn't read it. Once I explained it to her she was fine with it. She's read the Twilight series 5 times already and she just skipped the parts she didn't want to read in the last book. She's read all dresden files books twice and is on her second time through Turn Coat. I'm gonna have to hit the lottery just to keep her in books! LOL Hope Mr. Butcher writes faster! LOL
Murphy's Stunt Double:
Perhaps get her started on the Codex Alera series Jim writes?
IDK, let me know if she's too young, peeps, I haven't read CA yet myself.

Codex is considerably more appropriate than Anita. Though it has it's more adult issues as well. Where in Anita they are mostly sexual issues. In Codex................well............they are pretty violent. Lots of blood and guts, and heads exploding and such. But if she is okay with Dresden, Codex is more violent, but not a LOT more.
Murphy's Stunt Double:
Thanks, Seraphina!
